Press Conference: June 23 National Remembrance Day Event

On March 16, the Honourable Senators Victor Oh and Yuen Pau Woo, in partnership with Action! Chinese Canadians Together, held a press conference to announce a National Remembrance Ceremony in the Senate of Canada Building to mark the 100th Anniversary of the Introduction of the Chinese Exclusion Act – in addition to other commemorative initiatives. Canadian Race Relations Foundation will be releasing a new poll, Racial Justice Priorities for Canada’s 44th Parliament

CRRF conducted a national sample poll (2000n) asking Canadians about their priorities for what they would like to see for policy and legislative change. The poll asked questions in six subject areas: online and offline hate, policing and justice, employment equity, reconciliation, environmental racism, and inclusive arts and culture.
