Co-Founder of Change Through Sport

Biography

Alan Ma delights walking alongside others, building bridges, and sowing where others dare not. He is a husband and proud father of one fiery little one.

He is a co-founder of Change Through Sport, a sport for development organization, which introduced the adapted sport of blind tennis to the visually impaired Canadians. Together with other visionaries and capacity builders, Alan and the team continue to address opportunity gaps through the creative and intentional use of sports.

As a seasoned community organizer and educator, Alan is the Program Director with a learning-reflection, and discernment program at the Montreal School of Theology affiliated with McGill University in Montreal. Each summer, he receives emerging leaders from across Canada and the United States, and he has the privilege of guiding them as they serve and reflect on what it means to be part of organizations and communities that support some of our society’s most marginalized members.
