Biography

Marsha Lederman was born and raised in Toronto and now lives in Vancouver. She is the daughter of two Holocaust survivors. After a long career in radio broadcasting, Marsha began working for The Globe and Mail in 2007. She was the Globe’s Western Arts Correspondent for 15 years before becoming a full-time columnist last September. She has won several journalism awards, including the 2019 National Newspaper Award for Arts and Entertainment reporting. Her memoir Kiss the Red Stairs: The Holocaust, Once Removed was published by McClelland & Stewart last year and was an instant national bestseller. Last month, the book won the Western Canada Jewish Book Award for biography or memoir.
