Biography

Born in Montreal to Chinese and Filipino immigrant parents, Winston Chan is a Doctor of Chiropractic and entrepreneur active in the socio-economic and cultural spheres in Quebec, across Canada, and internationally. He graduated in 2004 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, receiving honorific distinction for his contribution to the student community. He served on the organizing committees of the Montreal Board of Trade Forum on Inclusive Revitalization: Present and Future of Chinatown, the Asian Night Market, and the Montreal Lunar New Year Festival. In 2023, he organized Asian Heritage Month events at the McCord Stewart Museum, and in 2024, a Montreal Asian Heritage Month event featuring Erika Moritsugu, President Biden’s White House liaison for Asian American and Pacific Islander affairs. He is President of the Quebec Asian Heritage Month Committee and a board member of the National Council of Asian Canadians.

Through his involvement, he hopes to contribute to social cohesion and intercultural dialogue between Asian communities and the host society.
Winston Chan is the co-founder of the Young Leaders’ Circle of the International Economic Forum of the Americas. He has led Canadian young entrepreneurs on trade missions to China, Australia, Turkey, Germany, France, Mexico, Argentina, and Japan. He is an entrepreneur and owner of a health clinic in Montreal. He has been a member of the Employment, Education and Entrepreneurship Task Force of B20 since 2014. From 2011 to 2013, he served as President of the Board of the Quebec Federation of Young Chambers of Commerce. He is the recipient of the Quebec University Medal, the Les Affaires Top 25 Under 40 award, the Claude Masson Award, the UQTR Pythagore Award, and the Quebec Federation of Young Chambers of Commerce Tribute Award for his contribution to youth entrepreneurship in Quebec. He serves as advisor and mentor at La Base entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal, dedicated to supporting under-represented groups of entrepreneurs.
