Biography

Yang Yang is the Chief Executive Officer of Motion Pay and Chief Strategy Officer of DIAN Motors, a cross-border fintech and automotive executive with over 18 years of experience spanning banking, payments, and international business strategy.

As CEO of Motion Pay, Yang has led the growth of a cross-border payments platform that enables international consumers to seamlessly transact in Canada using digital wallets from China and other global markets. Under her leadership, the company has built strong partnerships across retail and automotive ecosystems, driving adoption among merchants and delivering meaningful value to international students, newcomers, and globally connected Chinese Canadian communities.

Prior to her entrepreneurial journey, Yang held senior leadership roles at CIBC Capital Markets and BMO, where she specialized in cross-border strategy and market expansion across China and Southeast Asia. She is recognized for building new markets from the ground up, delivering significant business growth, and bridging global capital with Canadian opportunities.

In addition to her work in fintech, Yang serves as Chief Strategy Officer of DIAN Motors, where she leads global business development and cross-border partnerships in the automotive sector.

A passionate community leader, Yang is the President of the Scarborough York Region Chinese Business Association and has dedicated nearly two decades to supporting immigrant integration, fostering entrepreneurship, and advancing economic collaboration within the Chinese Canadian community.

Yang holds an Executive MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton University.
