Hubert Tong

Commander Hubert Tong is serving his 21st year in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Naval Combat Systems Engineer. He is an ethnic Chinese first-generation Malaysian Immigrant who holds two graduate degrees and two professional credentials. He has served aboard multiple Canadian warships in various roles ranging from anti-piracy operations off the coast of Africa, to domestic missions in Canada and NATO operations in the Baltic and in the Mediterranean. His operational experiences abroad includes a two year tour embedded with the United States Central Command Headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
