Minister of National Defence Advisory Panel on Systemic Racism and Discrimination – Final Report – January 2022
The report is divided into three parts: Part 1 details the history of colonialism, racism, misogyny, homophobia and other hateful conduct in Canada, and specifically within the Defence Team (DND/CAF). Part 2 sets out a series of ‘vision principles’ that DND/CAF should strive for, and Part 3 identifies 13 areas of opportunity to address systemic racism and discrimination, and makes recommendations that range from subjective value statements to specific actions.
The report also includes annexes detailing key terms, demographic statistics, an overview of the Panel’s consultations, and biographies of the Panel members.
